Volunteering for Chebucto
Many resourceful Chebucto users have now found the new links from
Chebucto Suite Services to register as a
volunteer.
This initial link will move those interested in being a volunteer through some
recommended reading and on to the decision point of whether to...
- sign on to the volunteer list
- fill in the volunteer form
- or do both
Then there is the explanation that if you want to be an active and/or office
volunteer
filling in the volunteer form is recommended so you can note some of your
interests.
If you would prefer to be available for occasional volunteering then joining
the volunteer list is recommended.
Recent Volunteer Activities
- Many Chebucto volunteers,
more than thirty, recently helped to set up
and staff the SuperNova Media Lounge at the G7 Summit.
- Volunteers worked
the Chebucto booth at the recent Internet Coffee Club Show
at the World Trade and Convention Centre.
Volunteer Profiles
This is an idea for the next issue of the newsletter. If you are a Chebucto
volunteer you could be featured here...
A short paragraph with your name, how long you have been volunteering, why
you decided to volunteer and perhaps a short statement about your regular
activities, work or recreation would be great. Send it along to the editor of this page.
An example might be...
My name is Jeff Libby, ag357, and I have recently become a Chebucto
volunteer. I am a User Help Team Leader. I am taking computer courses at
the Institute of
Technology and in my spare time I play in a bluegrass band.
